Hallowed Trail is operated by 3rd Sector Tech (“we”, “us”). By using the site, you agree to these terms.
Hallowed Trail lets you browse churches, cathedrals, graveyards, and cemeteries in the UK, check in when you visit a site, collect points and badges, plan trips, and upload photos. It's provided free of charge, on a best-effort basis, with no uptime or accuracy guarantee.
Site listings (names, locations, opening hours, etc.) are sourced primarily from OpenStreetMap contributors and may be incomplete, outdated, or inaccurate. Don't rely on it for anything safety-critical (e.g. confirming a venue is open before travelling a long distance) — always check with the site/venue directly if it matters.
You need a Google account to sign in. You're responsible for what you upload — photos must be your own to share, and must not be illegal, abusive, or infringe anyone else's rights. We can remove content or suspend accounts that break this.
By uploading a photo, you grant other users and visitors a licence to view it on the site. You keep ownership of your own photos and can delete them, or your whole account, at any time from your profile page. You also grant us a licence to use photos you upload for marketing, social media, and other promotional purposes.
The service is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. We're not liable for any loss arising from your use of the site, to the fullest extent the law allows.
We may change or discontinue the service at any time, and may update these terms — the current version always applies.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
